Aitken Spence Logistics Spotlighted in Daily FT on National Logistics Day, August 16th, 2023

In a global landscape where the seamless flow of goods and services is imperative for economic progress, the logistics industry assumes a pivotal role. Acknowledging the paramount importance of this sector, Aitken Spence Logistics takes great pride in commemorating National Logistics Day 2023. This special occasion presents a remarkable opportunity to recognize and honor the invaluable contributions made by the logistics industry and the committed professionals who tirelessly ensure the uninterrupted delivery of services around the clock.

Aitken Spence Logistics stands at the forefront of integrated logistics solutions, spearheading the evolution of the logistics terrain within the nation. With a diverse spectrum of services encompassing container freight stations, warehousing, 3PL, inland container terminals, container repair services, transportation and distribution, mobile storage solutions, and project cargo logistics, the company provides an unparalleled array of offerings.

As a forward-thinking entity, Aitken Spence Logistics consistently channels investments towards future expansion of its operations and market presence. A noteworthy addition to the company's infrastructure is the state-of-the-art, 100,000 sq. ft. Container Freight Station (CFS) recently commissioned at its primary logistics complex in Mabole, Wattala. Strategically positioned in close proximity to the Port of Colombo and the Bandaranaike International Airport, this facility boasts 32 loading bays and 15,000 pallet positions with a storage capacity of 20,000 CBM. As part of the company's long-term strategic capacity expansion plan, the new Container Freight Station is geared towards operational excellence, value creation within the supply chain, and exceptional service delivery.

Furthermore, the company has made significant investments in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for CFS operations, in partnership with Deloitte of Singapore and Malaysia. This initiative automates all inward and outward documentation processes, including customer and government/third-party system updating and reporting functions, thereby heightening efficiency and precision across CFS operations.
